How To Get To Heaven

1.  Admit that you're a sinner.

But your iniquities have separated between you and your God, and your sins have hid his face from you, that he will not hear (Isaiah 59:2).  As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one . . . For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God (Romans 3:10,23).

2.  Realize the penalty for sin.

God judgeth the righteous, and God is angry with the wicked every day (Psalm 7:11).  The wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God (Psalm 9:17).  The soul that sinneth, it shall die (Ezekiel 18:4).  For the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23a).  And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire.  This is the second death.  And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire (Revelation 20:14-15).

3.  Believe that Christ died for your sins, was buried and rose again.

But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).  Christ died for our sins . . . He was buried, and He rose again the third day (I Corinthians 15: 3-4).

4.  Turn to Christ and by faith trust Him alone to save you.

But as many as received him, to them gave he power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name (John 1:12).  The gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord (Romans 6:23b).  That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved.  For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation . . . For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved (Romans 10:9-10,13).  He that hath the Son hath life; and he that hath not the Son of God hath not life (I John 5:12).

God has promised in His Word that if you will sincerely call upon Jesus with all your heart and ask Him to forgive your sins and save your soul, that He will save you.  Won't you do that today?
